Takaful Ikhlas Ties Up with Local Bank

May, 2008 - Takaful Ikhlas will provide covers for commercial business and corporate financing given by Bank Muamalat Malaysia under a new MoU. It is also confident of collecting more than RM 10 million (US$3 million)in premiums from the partnership, said Hj Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman, President and CEO of Takaful Ikhlas.

In his speech at the signing, Hj Syed Moheeb said the schemes provided by Takaful Ikhlas will be comprehensive and in line with the image of the Bank Muamalat, and they would include the Takaful certificate, notice of renewal as well as claims fulfillment. Among the schemes to be offered through the bank are a comprehensive perils plan, a marine takaful plan, workers` compensation and contractors` risks.

Hj Syed Moheeb added that Takaful Ikhlas will also provide training to staff of Bank Muamalat involved in the various products to ensure the smooth operation of the partnership.

The move will not only strengthen the working relationship, but also increase their knowledge of risk management, he said.
