Takaful Ikhlas Confident Of Collecting More Than RM4 Mln In Premiums At Investors Week
MELAKA, April 27 (Bernama) -- Takaful Ikhlas Sdn Bhd is confident of collecting more than RM4 million in premium at this year's Investors Week 2008 - an increase from the RM3.4 million made during last year's event.
Its president and chief executive officer Syed Moheeb Syed Kamarulzaman said the company was confident of achieving this year's target considering the overwhelming support for its products at the Investors Week which will end here on Monday.
Among the products enjoying good response at the event is the IKHLAS Warga Tua Takaful, a product for senior citizens, Syed Moheeb told reporters after the handing over the company's contribution to 15 voluntary patrol schemes (SRS) and prizes to winners of a colouring contest held for children here, Saturday.
The senior citizen product, launched in 2004, is opened to those aged from 50 to 80-years old with a monthly contribution of RM50.
Education related products also enjoyed good take up from visitors at the Invest Week organised by Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) at the Melaka International Trade Centre, Syed Moheeb said.
On the contribution to the 15 voluntary patrol schemes, which was in the form of uniform/gear, he said the move was a show of support from the company to the volunteers who are helping to keep their communities safe.
He said Takaful Ikhlas has also offered a group accident plan to the committee members of Rukun Tetangga (AJK RT) and participants of the SRS throughout Malaysia through the National Unity and Integration Department (JPNIN).
Under the scheme, Takaful Ikhlas is offering coverage for personal accident and death to more than 93,775 AJK RT members and 11,605 SRS participants registered with JPNIN nationwide.
"Through the scheme, the participants are covered 24-hours a day both in the country and overseas," he said.
Takaful Ikhlas, a wholly owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Bhd, started its operations in July 2003.
